‘Spaces We Made Our Own’ is a free 10-day creative arts project (Oct-Nov) for people 16 -25 years and over 50’s. Supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund and delivered by iCreative at Film Oxford (54 Catherine Street, Oxford, OX4 3AH).
Led by African Caribbean artists and supported by Film Oxford, the Museum of Oxford, and the Oxford History Centre you will create a short film about the social and cultural activities of the African Caribbean community ‘going out’ in Oxford in the 1960’s and 70’s.
During the course you will develop skills in Video, Photography, Audio and Graphics. You will also learn how to research and gather archive material that could be used in the final film.
The course will run over 10 days from 10.00am to 3.30pm (with regular breaks), the dates are:
